"Watermelon" eyes

Hello Ninjas.

Sorry for the late post, I spent the morning and part of the afternoon in the ER with a gallbladder attack. I'm home and fine now so don't worry!

I did this look super simply, I covered the entire eyelid area with Tease from Brazen Cosmetics then used a metallic green eyeliner from Essence on my bottom lashline before adding a shimmery green shadow to set the liner. I liked how this turned out but the effect of watermelon wasn't intentional; it was one of my male co-workers who told me that my eyes looked like watermelon slices. Tah-dah!

Simple Smokey Eye

Hello Ninjas!

I know I had planned to do my yellow-black post tonight but I've been cleaning and don't know where my camera card went. I'm sure it's somewhere upstairs but I won't be looking for it tonight. So, I have a look I did last week that resulted in an super easy smokey eye (it wasn't planned that way). I did dark purple liner on my water line and upper lashline then added a pretty dark purple-taupe on my top lid. It blended out to look a little smokey and I love it! I also have SDRP on my lips which is a super gorgeous watermelon clear gloss full of lovely bluer shifting shimmer <3

In the last picture you can see the random mole on my upper left water-line!

Teal Eyeliner!

Hello lovely Ninjas!

Today I've got a super simple look I did before work one day. All I did was put on tinted moisturizer, concealer, PC colorpot in Sweet dreams, Wet n Wild eyeliner in green (Looks teal to me!), and mascara. The weather outside was gorgeous and I wanted something simple but springy to match it. Oh, Tango the tiny Chihuahua is making a guest appearance in this post. He really wanted to eat my lip gloss.

Dolphin face!

Hello Ninjas,

Tonight I've got the past week's makeup challenge: Dolphins! I went with some sea themed colors (blues and a green) over the Sweet dreams colorpot from Performance Colors. Then, because that wasn't enough, I added a Dolphin tail in white eyeliner and the same blue shadow I used on my lids. This was a very fun look!

Performance Colors: Colorpots

Hello Ninjas!

Today I've got an all cosmetics post for you. Sorry Lacquer-holics, I'll understand if you skip this post <3

I recently heard about the amazing staying power and great price of colorpots done by Etsy seller Performance Colors. Being in need of a few good sticky colors to base my normal loose mineral looks on, I ordered her 5 sample pack. For $5 I got 5 colorpot samples, two concealer samples, and she added and extra lip gloss sample too! She shipped super fast and the product packaging is super cute (I might be biased because I love lotuses though).

All of the goodies!

Ingredients and a sweet thank you note

The freebies

Colorpots!

Light concealer on the left, Fair concealer on the right
After taking pictures of all the pretties in their packages, I did a quick arm swatch. I did not have the ideal lighting for this so I apologize that two of the colors are super hard to see (Champagne and Flush) But at least this gives you an idea of how very sparkly and pretty they are!

L-R: Sweet Dreams, Champagne, Spanks, Babycakes, Flush

Blurred for shine: Sweet Dreams, Champagne, Spanks, Babycakes, Flush
What do you think? They're gorgeous, the extras were very sweet and her packaging is great. I'll be showing a look I did with these in a few days. I wore them super simply on Valentines day.

My Little Pony Inspired FotD

Hello Ninjas!

Here's the face I did for this week's makeup challenge at Toxid Lotus. This week was My Little Pony and I was stumped. I don't have a proper range of colors to make a nice rainbow eye and I also wanted something I could wear out and about without too many odd looks. The look I ended up with was inspired by the MLP logo:

There you have it! A Pink and White FotD. I got a lot of compliments on this look even though I wasn't happy with how it turned out. Glad someone liked it!

Dragon FotD

Hello Ninjas!

This is my face for Toxid Lotus'  weekly look group. Since this week's theme was Dragon, I decided to go with golds/greens/blues that remind me of dragon scales in the sunlight. I used a bronze Nyx loose pigment over the entire upper eye area then added Evil Shades potion to the brown line as well as the lower lash line. For the inner corner of my upper lid I used a random blue from a super-cheap set that came from FiveBelow and on the outer I used Potion again. I didn't manage to remember blush since I was running a little late to work but I did do a cherry glossy lip with one of Wet n Wild's  megaslicks. The lighting was less ideal for these pictures but It still came out pretty well!

Another FOTD

Hello darling Ninjas!

Tomorrow is my one year blogiversary and I'm excited! I don't have anything spectacular planned for it like a giveaway because my car decided to break two days ago (Bye bye $800!). That said, I do appreciate every single one of my readers and hope to be able to do a great giveaway for your all very soon!

This is a look I did with a bunch of Evil Shades colors. Can you tell I'm a fan of Andrea's work? They're all super pigmented and very finely milled so they smooth on to my face like butter! This look was done with a base of Visible Violet Spectrum pot on the whole lid followed by Victorian night to compliment the purple underlay. I then added Mordant to the crease and lower lashline before highlighting my brow bones with Zombie Moon. This was a really pretty eye and got me a lot of compliments at work. I finished the look with Atomic blush and Primrose Path on my lips!

Evil Shades: Neutral look

Hello darling ninjas!

One of the things I sort of want to add to my blog is looks I do with various eye pigments and blushes. I tend not to use anything but those two when adding color to my face so I usually get creative to complete a look. Today's post is a look I did while I was still fairly sick. I was going to a friend's house for Sunday dinner so I didn't want to look like a complete zombie (well, the dead and falling apart kind anyways). I didn't really do a proper primer/base/foundation for this look, just yellow under-eye concealer well blended into my T-zone.

For my eyes, I did an all over application of Evil Shades Ceylon to make a nice pink base then I added Bronze Skies to the crease to make it a little more defined. To do the subtle highlight, I used Day Dream on my brow bones, a little Bronze Skies along the lower lash line, and finished the eyes with Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara. I Think I may  have too many coats  on this look :(

For my face, I used Ceylon as it was meant: as a blush. Then I added a touch of Ardour to my lips for a really pretty and vivid orange cast. To dim it down (this is Sunday dinner) I added a little chapstick over to blend in it. Not a bad look and not a very in your face one either. What do you think?
