China Glaze For Audrey and Black Mesh

I finally did a whole manicure with Black Mesh! This actually took me maybe 15 minutes to do, which was nice since I needed to go to bed. Ah, the wonders of messy manicures. This is two coats of China Glaze For Audrey which is the iconic Tiffany's green/blue that's made so many top polish lists recently. The picture is without base coat, topcoat or clean up! I really just snapped these right before I added Black Mesh to make sure I had a plain picture for my readers : )

I Love that it's so shiny without topcoat, I sooo need more China Glaze in my Collection! Then I added one coat of Black Mesh and one of Sech QD. Where do people buy Geleous to get the super smooth look?

These were taken the next day and yes, my cuticles are painful to look at. Sorry! It's exam week and I've been frazzled between studying and paper writing. I'm almost done though. I have my second of three exams today at 4 and then all I'll have is my Drama exam and a paper before I graduate!

Just saw these on Fashion Polish! All the photos and info are credit to Fashion Polish and her original post can be found here: OPI Upcoming Limited Addition Preview

The Miss Universe 2011 Collection includes four shades: Congeniality is My Middle Name, Crown Me Already!, It's MY Year, and Swimsuit...Nailed it!I'm not sure I'm excited about any of these,  but they are a neat collection. They're set to be released in July 2011, right when I'm getting married!

There's a four polish mini set with He's My Boo, Mummy Knows Best, I only Date Werewolves, and Zom-Body To Love which glows in the dark. There is also a full set that comes paired with Black Shatter. These are set to be available in September 2011.

Again, all credit for these goes to Fashion Polish!

Zoya Meadow and an Apple!

Here's my first Zoya Manicure! This is two coats of the absolutely beautiful Meadow with small apple fimo shapes on the accent nails. Meadow is a lovely dusty rose color that leans slightly coral and has a ton of gold shimmer. Two coats for perfection and one coat Seche Qd to top it all off. It was hard to get a good picture of this polish since the sky was so overcast today but I did my best!

Orly Blue Collar and Kiwi!

My mom sent me an awesome Easter Basket that arrived on Monday. In the box there were a bunch of China Glaze colors, a Finger Paint color, and an Orly. The Orly is what I'm wearing today, Blue Collar. This is an amazing blue! It's a creme color that leans a slight bit yellow but is very vibrant without being neon. Two coats made a perfect base for what I wanted to do! on my ring fingers I added two small pieces of fimo in the shape of Kiwi Slices. The fimo set these came from is called Fruit Salad by Cina Nail Creations. I'll probably be using the apple pieces next! After adding the Kiwis, I used my (new!) dotting tool to do lime green shimmery dots with Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Chartreuse Chase. Seche QD to top it all off!

Also, my Zoya order arrived today! My next mani will (hopefully) be Meadow with the apple Fimo :)

My Easter Mani and some failed stamping.

So Justin's awesome family was in town this weekend which meant a pedi for me and his mom as well as a trip to Ulta. I'll post pictures of my haul later but lets look at the mani and my stamping fail. The base color is actually a bit of layering. Two coats of Salley Hansen Insta-Dri in Jade Jump and one coat of Ulta's Always a Bridemaid collection in Something Blue. I do have to say, I really really hate the formula on the Insta-Dris I picked up... Sure they dry fast but they also dry sort of chalky and the polish gets little dry gritty pieces in it... Which is pretty much the only reason I did a layering deal with the Something  Blue, to cover up the gritty ick. I wonder if some polish thinner would help?

Anyways, the next day, I tried to do some stamping with Wet n Wild Buffy the Violet Slayer but as soon as I added Seche QD on top the stamp started to degrade and get blurry and fail... SO I did a bunch of other stamp colors on top to get a sort of tie dyed look.

Also, my easter package arrived today from my mom who's all the way out in California! Can you guess what one of the things in my package was?

Fauxnad-icure! Or Mashnad-icure?

My first full stamping mani! This is such a pretty combination I think. I started off with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Grey Are which is a great very dark greige that leans a little purple. Then, I added a flower to each nail with MASH plate m21. I had to rush off to work so before work I just did the ring fingers but when I got home I finished them off! And, because I was feeling Springy, I also added a butterfly from the same plate to each thumb.

Two coats Grey Area, one Sech QD, flower stamp in Ulta Tutu Cute, butterfly stamp in Sinful Snow Me White, then topped off with another coat of seche QD!

101st Post! Essie Smooth Sailing

I told you I would have Smooth Sailing from the Summer 2011 collection for you next time i posted and here it is. It's a somewhat dusty grey based blue with a looot of glitter. The micro glitter is silver, pink, and blue but man was it hard to get a good picture of. Two coats was all it took for opacity though the formula felt a little weird and not like the normal super smooth/watery usual Essie formula. This was still super easy to work with though and you might want to use two coats of topcoat because it sort of eats the first one.

And my stamper came in the mail today! Soo I did a quick white flower with my striping polish and a quick blue butterfly with Wet n Wild's Saved by the Blue.
