100th Follower Giveaway Winner!!

Well, since no one entered since I  got home from work and before midnight, I'm posting this super promptly :) The winner of my 100th follower giveaway is.....

Danielle H P!

Congrats Danielle! I'll be shooting you an email shortly so  you can get your prize soon :)

I just wanted to let my readers know that it is June First where I am which is why I am posting now. Blogger runs on US Pacific Time but I am in US Eastern so for me, the Giveaway is OVER.

Sally Hansen Crackles

Here's a look at two of the new Sally Hansen Crackles, Snow Blast and Distressed Denim. The Distressed Denim is a super quick swatch that I didn't keep on because my thumb got messed up so I took the whole thing off. One Coat over Wild and Crazy Amnesia.

Told you it was messy! The next couple pictures are of Snow Blast over Mamba. It's a combination of palate cleansing colors.

Palate Cleanser

So I was looking for a nice plain, pale, nude ish color to give me a break from all the shiny colors I've been doing lately. I ended up picking Mamba by Essie which is a gorgeous rose leaning beige with a great subtle shimmer.

This pretty color makes me think of the nudes that Zoya is releasing this summer.

WIld and Crazy: amnesia

This is one of the $.99 polishes I picked up at the new beauty supply store nearby the other day. The brand is called Wild and Crazy and the color is called Amnesia. I ADORE this color. It's a gorgeous berry/purple/gold duochrome. It's awesome, looks like some sort of Egyptian beetle and is lovely. This is three coats of amazing color.

(No flash indoor lighting, not the best pictures)

Zoya Clara and an iridescent french

Sorry about the delay getting you the pictures of the Zoya Clara I was wearing after the creepy Zombie manicure. Here's four coats of Clara over Seche recondition with Seche topcoat.

I like the shimmer in this dusty orange/peach color. Very pretty. After this I tried my hand at a french where I put the white tip under the base polish instead of over it. This is Sinful Snow Me White for the tips, Essie Sugar Daddy for the base color and then a coat of the iridescent top coat I picked up which is Pretty Pink by NK.

Haul and a Zombie Mani

I stopped at the new beauty store in a local plaza and found they had a bunch of polish brands I'd never heard of before and they were all 1.99 or less so I picked a couple up. The white one is actually a pretty iridescent color that I'll use as topcoat.  Then I stopped by CVS to get more Seche and found their display of Sally Hansen Crackles! Yay me. I also picked up the Orly top coat just to compare.

Then of course I had to do a mani with the new crackles. Let me tell you, SH crackle basically DOES NOT CRACK over completely dry polish. The drier the polish, the less crack so I'd advise using it over a slower drying polish for a good effect. Here I  used the red, Cherry Smash, over Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Gunmetal. It looks like zombie skin! (I also matted it out with Essie Matte About You)

It was kind of creepy looking so I took that off last night and did Zoya Clara for a nice neutral, non zombie shade lol. You'll see that tomorrow!

Deep Space Layering

So I was trying to franken a Clarins dupe... It didn't work out because the shimmer ended up mixing together instead of only showing at different angles but it's pretty anyways! I did a base of Wet n Wild Black Cream then one layer of my franken to start this manicure. I thought it was too simple (Looked a little like black pearl) so I added a layer each of Wet n Wild Dancer and Dasher. Then I matted it up with Essie Matte About You since I'm out of Seche (oh no!).

I think it looks a little bit like you're lost in space on the TARDIS (which is a Dr. Who reference for you non-nerds) Lover it!

Purple Pizzazz and Dasher

This is suuuuuch a pretty manicure. I did four coats (yes, four) of Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Purple Pizzazz. Purple Pizzazz is a lovely royal purple jelly loaded with light purple/pink and blue glitter flakes. It's basically impossible to capture the beauty that is Purple Pizzazz unless you wear it yourself. Since I thought it needed some sort of extra (was going to stamp it with something white) I looked around and spotted Wet n Wild's Dasher. Dasher is a gorgeous scattered/sometimes linear holo topcoat that went perfect with Purple Pizzazz!

This is one coat of Dasher over four coats of Purple Pizzazz:

Lots of Pictures to capture the lovely color of this manicure. However, this is nowhere near color correct. Purple Pizzazz is much more red than blue but I didn't want to open up photoshop to fix it, Sorry!

A couple NOTDs

I wanted to use my now Wet n Wild Waves of Enchantment so I did a quick mani with China Glaze Black Mesh over WoE and then topped it off with Essie's Matte About You.

I realized in retrospect that this looked like a Halloween manicure but I still liked it!

Last night I used a new color I picked up at my local Rite Aid, Petites Utopia. This is a super cool color packed with a tone of teal glitter that also flashed blue and purple. Love it. I stamped this with a cute little Turtle from my MASH plates and then some stars from the same plate. The turtle are in Funky Fingers Mint Montauk and the stars that barely showed up were in Ulta blue streak.

The only problem with the petites was that it took 4 coats for me to get rid of visible nail line. Maybe it would work better over a dark blue cream base?

Deep Sea Mani

I found a display of Wet n Wild's Mermaid Cove collection at CVS yesterday and I picked up a few pretties. I am in loooove with Diving for Pearls so I had to try it first.

Two coats Diving For Pearls, bubbles in Ulta Steal the Groom, Seahorse in Sally Hansen Jade Jump, Eyes in Wet n Wild Waves of Enchantment.

Such a great teal! I love it.

Justin and I also stopped by Five Below the other day and I picked up a few of the Christmas glitters that are named after Raindeer. I think what I have are Dasher, Dancer, and Comet.

It looks to me like Dasher is like the Glee mini exclusive Celibacy Club. It's a fine glitter topcot that's lovely in it's holographic goodness!
