Hello Again,
Today it's gross and pouring rain outside so the lighting wasn't terribly good for these pictures but I tried! This is two coats of Essie Very Structured from their Fall 2011 collection. This is called a burnt sienna, I think it looks like old bricks. Since I've got China Glaze Brownstone on the way, I'll have to see if they compare at all. This almost could have been a one-coater but some nails needed the extra coat. Great smooth formula, wasn't runny like Essie polishes can be sometimes and it dried nicely.

Zoya Shawn
Hi again!
Today I've got an AMAZING polish from Zoya for you. Now, as is obvious by my blog layout, I love green polish. I have to say, it took me a long time to find a good dark green polish but I have found one at last!! This is Zoya Shawn, the third color I picked up during BOG2Free. This is two perfectly smooth coats of Shawn. This dried super shiney, and slightly darker than the bottle color but I love it. This is like the green you'd see in the shadows of a pine forest <3 My Husband said it looks like a Christmas Tree and I agree!
And here's a look at my failed nail art from the other night. I did two stamps of a flower design (in red and silver) over my franken then put a layer of Revlon Just Tinted in Desire over it. The jelly was one layer too much so I took it all off.

Sally Hansen: Model Behavior
Hello Readers.
Today I have a pretty blue combination for your viewing pleasure. This is a color I picked up when I was at Rite Aid and saw a buy one get one 50% off deal on most of their polishes. I picked up Borghese Stellare Notte (which Scrangie just swatched so I'll hold off posting about it) and Sally Hansen Model Behavior. I liked Model Behavior because it fits in with the last hurrah of bright colors before the fall darks set in. I'm also trying to build up my blue collection for my next blog header (Think wintery mix...)
Model Behavior is a nice light blue cream polish. It went on great in two coats with no bubbling which was impressive considering how fast I was putting it on. This isn't really a sky blue, more of a cyan/darker cornflower color. I've gotten a lot of compliments on this manicure so I'm pretty sure this color will stick around unlike some of the crazed hues of this summer (I'm looking at you China Glaze). Over top the two coats I added one quick layer of Wet n Wild in Blue Wants to be a Millionaire. This is a great combination that makes me smile when I look at my hands.
Anyone want to guess when I picked up at Ulta yesterday courtesy of my MIL? I can't wait to wear it!

My Zoyas!
So here's a quick post for you of the Zoya polishes I got during the Earth Day Polish Exchange. I'll be sending mine out to them tomorrow, I'm not sure what to send yet though!
I'm most excited about Phoebe and Meadow! I can't wait to do my Apple/Meadow mani tomorrow :-)

Essie: Absolutely Shore
Yay! I finally got my hands on this pretty pale green from Essie's Summer 2011 Collection... I'm not sure if my local Walgreens just got their dates mixed up for what but I'm glad to have this! Absolutely shore is a very very pale green a little on the dusty side and leaning more yellow than blue. I love it.... So so so so much! In the typical Essie fashion, this took three coats for perfect opacity but the formula was easy to work with and evened itself out. I was applying this while watching the King's Speech so it took me a while to get all my fingers right because I kept smudging them on something or a cat hair would get stuck in my top coat! I prevailed though to bring you these pretty pretty pictures!
Three coats Essie Absolutely Shore, one coat Seche QD.
I wonder how this compares to the green from OPI's Pirates of the Carribbean collection's green? I don't know but I loooove this, definitely my new favorite pastel creme.

Essie: Mesmerized
I was in the mood for another super rich color after wearing Watermelon and since the weather has been so gloomy and rainy here I decided to go blue. This a a neat blue, sort of a middle ground between royal blue and navy blue. Creme finish which means it manages to have depth without shimmer which I think is awesome, it looks a little like MAC Spirit of Truth if you ask me. It's more navy in person that it comes out in my pictures but it was as easy as my other essie polishes to work with. Two coats of Mesmerize with one coat Seche QD on top.

On Wednesday I wore pink!
But I didn't get to post about it. So today I will share with you my candy looking nails! I love this color sooo much. This is Essie Watermelon which is a vibrant pink that looks just like skittles or M&M's or something edible. Two coats to perfection, super shiny and GORGEOUS with one coat of Seche QD.

Essie Bahama Mamma Blinged Out
My nails look like candy right now... Seriously, I want to lick them because they look like lollypops! I'm wearing Essie Watermelon and it's perfect for the springy weather we've been having. However, today's post is about what I wore over the weekend which was Essie Bahama Mamma and NYC Starry Silver Glitter.
Two coats of Bahama mamma looked too plain I guess so I added a coat of Starry Silver Glitter over the top. It was a lovely effect and the darker base color really made the holo on the topcoat pop. Two coats BH, one SSG and one Seche QD.
I rounded my nails off.. I'm not sure which I like better, square or round. What do you think? It's way easier to text with rounded thumbnails for me but I sort of liked the square look on my other fingers.. we'll see.

Essie: Merino Cool
I'd been holding off on trying this polish because I already knew I would like it. So I put in on when I was feeling sort of blah one night and it was definitely worth waiting for! (Sounds like a corny abstinence poster, doesn't it?)
Anyways, this is from Essie's Fall 2010 collection and is a much more purple take on the usual greige. There are definite grey and taupe undertones to this polish but it is completely creme purple in some lights. I did two coats of this to make it the lovely shiny finish I'm used to seeing in Essie cremes with Seche QD top coat.

Essie: Nice is Nice
So, I've finally found a color that gives me lobster hands! Which is too bad because I love lilacs. This is Essie's Nice is Nice from their Spring 2011 collection. This is two coats over Nailtiques formula 2 and Seche QD top coat. It's a nice color, pink leaning lilac or lavender that's just a little too red based and not enough grey based to be nice to my skin tone. I'm still thinking of wearing this as french tips for my Wedding since the color is purple.

Wet n Wild Megalast:: Haze of Love
While I liked the Bijou Blue I was wearing, it started chipping in one day! By the time I was done with work, half of my thumb polish had chipped off and I was just annoyed with it. So, last night I decided I would try one of their Megalast colors that I'd picked up a while back. This is Haze of Love which is a gorgeous mauve that is soooo very close to being a jelly, Super high shine finish that when you add Seche vite to it becomes almost mirrorlike. Three coats of lovely color:
It's a little vampy but I love it!
