Jesse's Girl Mermaid's Lagoon

Aloha!

Today I've got pictures of my Jesse's Girl Manicure. When I first saw swatches of Mermaid's Lagoon I was super excited about the copper shimmer in it. However, once I got it on my nails I could barely see the shimmer even in strong sunlight. I remedied this by adding Orly Fifty Four over the top for a pretty copper shimmer. Two coats of color with one coat of Orly on top and Orly topcoat.

Sorry about the lobster hands! I don't know what happened with the lighting here but the polish color is pretty close.

Bamboo-esque

Hello again!

Today I have a look I created to mimic a bamboo forest. Since I work at a Martial Arts Dojo, we of course have a bamboo plant a the front desk. One of our instructors is also nicknamed "Bamboo Viper" which has inspired me even more towards the bamboo related look.

I started with two coats of WnW Fast Dry in Teal or No Teal to look like the murky heart of a forest. I wore the teal base plain for two days because I was short on time. I like the way it looks o my newly rounded nails and how it was a kind color for my poor left pinky nubbin. Yesterday morning, I took one of the full nail designs from MASH plate m71 and used Jesse's Girl Fools Gold to stamp the design on my nails. I thought the result looks a little like a sunlit bamboo grove.

Musical Mani

This mani is so much easier to see in person! I did a little stamping with my MASH plates and Zoya Reva. The base color here is two coats of Zoya Reva and the stamp color is Jesse's Girl Fool's Gold. I did the accent nail in the reverse with two coats FG and Reva as a stamp then used Essie's Matte About You to top it off.

St.Patrick's Day Mani!

So I originally had a ridiculous idea to do green polish, party of five glitters topcoat, and green glitter tips... and I did it but it looks obnoxious... Soooo I went a more simple route! This is one (yes, one!) coat of Jesse's Girl Fool's Gold with Sinful Call You Later on top. It's a neat Pot o' Gold sort of effect and if you look at it quickly the glitter looks like little shamrocks!

Jesse's Girl: Riff-Raff

Ok so I took pictures of this color last night but when I was editing them to post today the clean up was just so horrible that I decided I'll re-take the pictures when I get home later. For now, here's a look at the line-up!

EDIT: Here's the swatch of Jesse's Girl Riff-Raff in the shade. I love this reddish brown mahogany with golden-ish shimmer. Two coats was perfect application.

I also stopped by Walgreens where I found a Sinful display and picked upa bunch of colors (Haul to be posted later) and thought All About Me would look good over Riff-Raff.

All About Me is a gold glitter that leans towards the green spectrum but was quite pretty in one coat over Riff-Raff.
