Rimmel London Steel Grey

Hi Ninjas!

Before I get to the fun stuff I need to clarify a few things about my giveaway. First off, it says in the post that it is open to US/Canadian readers only. If I find out that you are not in either of those countries, your entries will be deleted. Second, don't try to scam me. If you didn't leave a blog comment, don't complete that entry.  I've had at least three people already who tried that trick on me and quite frankly, that makes me mad! I'm moderating the entries every day so please, don't try to game the system. This is done in good spirit as a means to share a little of the excitement surrounding a belt promotion, not a way to just cheat and get free polish. I have to say, I'm disappointed in the people who are lying and I kind of hope none of them were my existing readers :(

Today's polish was a gift from one of the lovely black belts at work. Every time I would see her she had this wonderful purple leaning taupe polish on and I always made a point to compliment it. Well, one day she surprised me with my very own bottle of the polish! It was Rimmel London Steel Grey from their Pro line. I love this polish! It is a wonderful neutral that goes with just about any outfit you can imagine and it and matches today's stormy skies. This is a warm taupe with purple undertones and a cream finish polish that was easily applied in two medium coats or three thin coats.

Rimmel London Red Lava

Hello Ninjas!

Tonight was graduation at work so I was busy during the day. This month's graduation was pretty small so it wasn't as stressful as it usually is. Only four more days until I'll be in N isYC for my week off! I'm pretty excited since my husband and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary in NYC which is where we spent our honeymoon last year. We're hoping to go see all sorts of new shows and places this year, I'll try to take cool pictures to share!

Tonight's color is Red Lava from Rimmel London. I ended up wearing this color when I got a request to match my new hair color which is a very dark auburn. This is a wonderful blackened jelly base with vibrant red shimmer that really shines in the sun. Two thin coats were opaque and dried very quickly. I wish every polish could be this easy!

Rimmel Pro Rags to Riches

Good afternoon!

Today I've got a pretty metallic green for you from Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Pro line. This is a preally pretty lighter green foil with a nice extra shimmer in the finish. This is three coats of polish, the formula was thin but easy to work with and it dried quickly. I loved this color, I wore it December 1st with red eyeshadow to be a little festive!

Where it all started...

So there are two polishes responsible for my blogging and current obsession. They're both Rimmel colors and today I have one of them to show you all by itself. This is two gorgeous coats of Rimmel London's 60 Seconds polish in Deliciously Dark. This is a great blackened plum or cherry color. My new boss called it black cherry and that's a great description. This color looks like a black cherry skin when it's perfectly ripe. Love it. The only problem with this formula was that it dried almost too fast so it was prone to bubbling. However, if you're careful and do two thinner coats instead of one thick coat it works wonderfully.

A Little Nail Art

So I thought I'd try my hand a a little nail art since I got those lining polishes in my franken haul. Yesterday I did a sort of glittery curved half manicure. I used two coats of Rimmel London Deliciously Dark as the base color and Wet n Wild Sparked as the glitter accent. It's sort of messy but it was fun to do!

Thennn tonight I used my liner polished on top of my existing Essie Scarlette Ohara mani. Three coats Scarlett Ohara, one line each of the white and glitte liner. Then I did three little lines of black for a sort of abstract feel. Then I did a coat of Wet n Wild Hallucinate on the empty part of the nail. What do you think??
