Hello lovely Ninjas!
Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday so my next post might be a little bit late. Hopefully you won't mind, it's sort of a big one for him, he'll be 25! He keeps harping on how old he'll be because it's a quarter of a century but I think he just wants an excuse to feel old. Also, my larger dog accidentally took a little bite of finger with a treat I was giving her so I've got to be careful with polish remover on my right hand. Hopefully this won't mess with my polishing!
Here are the nails I did for my Yellow-Black to Blue-White graduation! These are two coats of Revlon Royal over my existing silver polish decorated with a white striping polish. I should have done this in better lighting to prevent my bubbles but my right hand turned out ok. That's why these are non-dominant hand pictures! For your viewing pleasure:

Revlon Whimsical
Good evening Ninjas!
Tonight I've got a follow-up to my Kristen manicure. This is two-ish coats of Revlon Whimsical over Kristen. Kristen made a great base for Whimsical and really brought out the pretty blue in the jelly base. Whimsical is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air with a much nicer price tag! I will let the photos speak for themselves but I am totally in love with his combination. I got lots of nice compliments on this too.

Revlon Purplex
Hello lovely Ninjas!
Today I've got one of the more popular dupes that Revlon came out with last year: Purplex. As far as I can tell, this is meant as a dupe of Paradoxal by Chanel. This is a lovely polish, medium purple and very smokey/muted base with a massive amount of gorgeous red-leaning purple shimmer. The light when I was photographing this was not cooperating but here are the two best pictures I managed of the polish:
I gotta say, for $3.73 instead of $25 a bottle, Purplex is a much better deal! I've got Whimsical to show you too so stay tuned for that later this week :)

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia
Hello lovely readers!
Tonight I have for you Facets of Fuchsia from Revlon. This is a great black jelly base with purple hex and micro glitters. FoF is supposed to be a dupe for one of the pretty Deborah Lippmann polishes, Bad Romance. I don't own the DL to compare to but if you google it you should find multiple posts about it. This is two coats of FoF over one coat of a black cream by Wet n Wild. One coat is a little lumpy with the glitter but two evens it out nicely and adds depth to the glitter.

Nail Mail and Revlon Carbonite
Hello readers!
Today I've got for you the recent polish I've received via mail in the last two days. First up is the Smoke & Mirrors collection from Zoya. I actually won these in a Twitter giveaway that I don't even remember entering! I was super excited to have gotten almost $100 worth of polish for free!
Next up is my recent Kleancolor find! I found this set of 10 polishes on ebay for only $17.99 with free shipping!! Yay me :)
Here's Revlon's Carbonite. It's supposed to be a close dupe to Chanel's Graphite but I'm not sure how much truth there is to that story. It's a pretty color, metallic gold/silver with larger almost foily particles. This was two coats for opacity, super easy to apply. Sorry about the crappy pictures, we've had pouring rain all day and I haven't had sun to work with. The second picture has flash which is why it's so blown out but I think it shows the particle size pretty well.

Ulta Envy and recent finds
Hello again!
It's been overcast here in NC for a few days now so I apologize in advance for the poor lighting in my pictures. This is Ulta Envy, a lovely jewel toned green with a hint of aqua shimmer. This manicure is ONE coat. I've read other blogs and they all used two coats. I think the reason I got away with one is because I have nubs so there's no VNL to cover up. Still, super easy to work with and a pretty color that looks good on my sad nubbins.
And here's a few of the polishes I've picked up over the last week. The two Butter Londons are my first from the brand that I picked up at Ulta's BOGO deal. I was happy to get Wallis but I was hoping to get No more Waity Katie instead of Big Smoke. Oh well! I'm excited about the cute little pumpkin polishes tha tI got at Rite Aid because one has black glitter and the other has holo moons!
The two White caps in the back are Orly Fowl play! I found two at Ulta this morning so I picked them up for people who might be looking for it. One is spoken for but the other is up for grabs :)

Revlon Royal Cloak
Hello dear readers!
Today I've got Revlon's Royal Cloak from their Masquerade collection. It's a pretty medium red-leaning purple with large glass flecks that look somewhat like silver flakes. People have been calling this a flakie but really it looks more like a glass fleck with really big flecks. This polish only takes two thin coats for opacity but it does eat topcoat a little bit. I like this color but it isn't a polish that screams to me, and I love purples. *shrugs* My pictures make this look bluer than it is but I got some pretty good shots of the flecks in the color.

Tinted Tropicalia
Today I have a nifty layering mani for you. This is two coats of Wet n Wild's Tropicalia which is a pretty pink cream polish that leans a little peach. On top of that is two coats of Revlon's Just Tinted in Dawn. I like the shiny jelly look the tinted polish created over the cream finish. This was a really neat sort of honeyscuckle color when it was finished.

Another Guest Blog!
So, I have a lot of friends with dogs. I also have a dog so I think they're wonderful and know way too much about them. One of my dog-world friends has a pug who is very tolerant and is used to getting her nails painted. When she read about my nail polish blog, she took up painting her dog's nails on a more regular basis and has been sending me picture of her ventures! This post is going to be about Izzie the pug getting her nails done by her mom Mandy in Alberta, Canada.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I have Gel Nails on my fingers and no one sees my toes in the winter anyways, I paint Izzie's nails. She's trained not to fuss with her nails and sits still while I paint them and until they're dry and I release her. This polish is Metallic by Revlon, I originally bought it thinking it'd be thin and I could put it over a nice neon hot pink for an 80s look. However, it was actually really goopy and only took one coat to cover Izzie's black nails. Though it actually looks quite nice on her nails, very eye catching.
